DIGITAL IMPACT AWARDS 2020 WINNERS ANNOUNCED

With the need to communicate more effectively with all audiences, especially in Covid-19 times, digital is ever-more important to corporate communicators Communicate magazine is proud to announce the winners of the Digital Impact Awards 2020.

Since 2010, the awards have recognised the best in corporate digital communications with winners in every sector from software and finance to transport and healthcare.

With a gold in ‘Best use of online video,’ ‘Best digital employee communication’ and ‘Best use of digital from the technology, media and telecommunications sector,’ Vodafone and We are Tilt took home the ‘Grand prix’ award. Their project that addressed accessibility challenges within Vodafone and examined the design team as it works to solve those problems. The project had the dual effect of communicating how ‘design is the difference’ in collaborative problem solving while also improving Vodafone’s inclusivity.

“The past year has been nothing if not a heyday for digital communications. Amid the challenges and life-altering impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, digital communications have been a lifeline for many throughout the pandemic,” says Brittany Golob, editor in chief at Communicate magazine.

Refinitiv, the former financial and risk business of Thomas Reuters, won several awards from a range of categories, including ‘Best use of SEO for corporate communications,’ Best use of data,’ and the coveted ‘Digital in-house team of the year.’

SEGRO also took home different awards for its corporate video celebrating its centenary which took the form of an elaborate Rube Goldberg machine. This resulted in the first-ever viral video in the property sector.  The video won two golds in ‘Best use of digital from the property, construction and facilities management sector’ and ‘Best use of augmented reality or virtual reality,’ and two silvers in ‘Best corporate viral campaign’ and ‘Best innovation.’

This year’s ceremony also featured a ‘Best digital communications during Covid-19 award’, which recognised those brands that connected workforces, strengthened relationships and successfully navigated the challenges of the past year.

Winners were announced last night in a virtual awards event. The full winners list can be found below.
