EXECUTIVE EDUCATION COURSE LAUNCHED TO HELP PR PRACTITIONERS MAXIMISE EMPLOYABILITY

Socially Mobile is a new executive education course aiming to help PR practitioners increase earning potential and accelerate career growth. Applications for the first cohort beginning in January 2022 have opened today 10 November.

The Socially Mobile course was founded by Sarah Waddington CBE and Stephen Waddington, bringing together a teaching community of agency and in-house practitioners across various sectors within the communications and management industry.

The ten-week course consists of seven compulsory modules: core skills, creativity, planning and management, financial planning and management, technology and workflow, and managing people and building a high-performance team. Participants are also invited to choose three optional modules based on core and specialist management capabilities to best suit their development needs.

Support and funding have enabled Socially Mobile to deliver training to practitioners from lower socio-economic backgrounds and underrepresented groups including black, Asian and ethnic minority practitioners, women returnees, and those with disabilities. Practitioners from these groups have been invited to apply for a fully funded place on the course. Fee-paying practitioners are also welcomed to join the programme at a cost of £695.

Applications for the first cohort will close on 26 November, with successful applicants being notified on 10 December. Onboarding with take place in mid-December with the teaching schedule set to run between 15 January and 25 March 2022. Find more information about the course and how to apply here.
