WEST MIDLANDS ARTS & CULTURE COMMUNITY JOIN FORCES TO LAUNCH INNOVATIVE PR EVENT

Tonight's event (Thursday, March 25) run by Birmingham-based tech company, Jump 24, aims to celebrate the city’s rich culture and heritage. With speakers from art, music and literature to urban planning and grass roots community development, Brum Tech Tapas is redefining tech PR.

Jump24 was inspired to launch the series after getting involved in tech events around the city before the pandemic hit. It aims to showcase the talent of Birmingham using its experience in tech events and software. The event will strengthen the brand reputation as a community based organisation that is proud of its heritage and workforce.

With speakers from artistic vocations including street artist Foka Wolf and Birmingham poet laureate, Casey Bailey, the event is designed to offer something for everyone. Also on the line up is Dr Victoria Barker, creative ecosystems researcher and Joe Schuppler, founder of Independent Birmingham.

Brum Tech Tapas extends Jump24’s reach within the tech industry and builds valuable connections and relationships with talent and consumers in other sectors.

Daniel Newns, director and founder of Jump24, says “At Jump24, we love to swap knowledge with our friends in tech but real inspiration comes from learning about what’s happening elsewhere. The West Midlands is packed with talented people practicing a diverse mix of crafts, so we decided to invite people to get together and celebrate the amazing work that gets done in this region.”

The free to attend event takes place via livestream at 7pm, where each speaker will spend up to 30 minutes talking about their passion. The next Brum Tech Tapas event is being held this June at Iron House Gallery in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham. Find out more here.
