DATACOMMS AWARDS WINNERS ANNOUNCED

The winners of Communicate’s DataComms Awards have been revealed at a ceremony in Central London. The awards celebrated the excellent work of businesses using data in corporate communications in various way.

The awards seek to recognise and celebrate the wide-ranging use of data to inform corporate reputation, brand definition, social media and PR strategy. This year’s entrants displayed an incredible level of innovation and dedication to utilising data to drive new campaigns and streamline existing systems.

Following the successful DataComms conference, looking at best practice in the use of data in communications, the winners of the inaugural DataComms awards were announced.

Boldspace was among the gold winners for the creation of its platform, BoldLens, which used integrated dashboards to collate data that is relevant to its clients. Vattenfall and Caliber were rewarded for the development of a new management tool that tracks and analyses stakeholder perception data.

Aldi and Citypress went home with the prestigious Grand Prix award for its implementation of a new data-based strategy that significantly improved the accuracy and efficiency of its current systems.

Andrew Thomas, publisher of Communicate and founder of the awards said "When we announced the launch of the inaugural DataComms Awards I did not fully understand the potential behind the programme. Although I had read of the data explosion, I hadn’t grasped the enormous problems facing organisations that need to take the vast volumes of data they create and use it to communicate effective messages to their various stakeholder audiences. The entries showed creativity and strategic insight in the ways they met those challenges. The collation, evaluation and analysis made for compulsive reading. Congratulations to all the winners".

The winners were announced at a celebratory awards lunch in Central London.
