COLLABORATE ACTIVATE COMMUNICATE
Some companies shine when it comes to collaboration. Whether it's finding the perfect fit for a CSR project that promotes a social or environmental cause but also aligns two companies' brand values.
Or, a creative sponsorship that engages with the target audience and does more than offer an expensive branding opportunity. Some companies know how to create mutually benefical relationships that push the boundaries and make a difference.
Once a fantastic working relationship has been established and objectives have been achieved, how can that success be communicated? The external communications should be appealing while adhering to the brand's core language and values and tell the story. An internal communications campaign should be getting employees excited and on board with the programme and ready to support future work.
Having run the Corporate Engagement Awards for five years, it was time to share some of the case studies and learn from those that have truly excelled in collaborating, activating and communicating.
On 3 November, Communicate magazine hosted an afternoon event that offered learning and networking opportunities. Attendees heared from six past Corporate Engagement Award winners that impressed the judges across the sponsorship, CSR and communications categories. Their stories of innovative and refreshing work left attendees impressed and ready to re-examine their own projects and the strategy behind them.
The case studies were broken up with some structured networking time that will allowed attendees to meet their peers, create new contacts and hopefully built some brand new relationships and fruitful partnerships.
This event is ideal for anyone working in CSR, partnerships, sponsorships, corporate communications, internal communications and PR.
Delia Goldsby, PR communications consultant 'the speaker line up along with the range and diversity of case study content was inspirational with lots of insights to take away, think about and learn from. I can understand why the speakers has all won Gold in the awards. The workshop sessions were also great bonus - an ideal way to discuss topical issues with informed peers in a relaxed setting. I would definitely attend next year and happily recommend the event to others too'.
