COMMS INDUSTRY CRAVES BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXPERTS

The communications industry is seeing an increased demand for candidates with business development experience.

The latest Talent Spotlight from international recruitment consultancy, Badenoch & Clark, reveals trends in the industry during May 2012, and finds professional services organisations are seeking experienced consultants within the sector.

Matt Gascoigne, executive director of marking and communications at Badenoch & Clark, says: “This is because companies are taking a more aggressive approach to attracting new business with radical restructures and new business strategies.”

As well as this, there is a driving demand for consultants with change communications experience, who are accustomed to delivering changes within a company internally or externally.

While pay is still high within the change communications sector, competition is heating up between candidates and organisations are becoming selective in choosing managers to ensure they get a good return on their investment.
