The Dubai Lynx Awards has announced its shortlist, with the winners collecting their trophies at the annual Dubai Lynx International Festival of Creativity dinner tomorrow (March 12) night.

The awards, now in its eighth year has seen a 9% increase in submissions, with entries into 15 different categories totalling 2279. The PR category this year saw entries go from 49 to 59, with campaigns from Ooredoo, Nissan and Coca-Cola making the corporate reputation shortlist.

The Dubai Lynx festival is the Middle East’s iteration of the Cannes Lions and has seen nearly 2000 delegates. According to Terry Savage, CEO of the Lions Festivals group, organiser of the Dubai Lynx, the Festival is an important fixture in the region’s advertising and communications calendar. “Creative awards benchmark standards and propel the industry forward” said Savage, adding “this ultimately impacts the region’s advertising and brand communications going forward.”
