INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS AND ENGAGEMENT AWARDS 2022 NOW OPEN FOR ENTRIES

The Internal Communications and Engagement Awards are now open for entries, seeking to recognise and celebrate the very best internal comms for its fourth year.

The challenges of the past 12 months have highlighted the importance of effective internal comms in implementing business strategy and supporting impactful employee engagement. The Internal Communications and Engagement Awards were launched to recognise excellence, innovation and creativity within the internal comms and employee engagement space.

Andrew Thomas, publisher of Communicate magazine and founder of the awards, says, “The growth of the Internal Communications & Engagement Awards has been phenomenal. Despite the difficulties of the past two years, the fact that the awards programme has increased in entries each year is truly humbling."

A panel of internal comms experts will judge the projects and campaigns against a set of criteria to identify the very best across a range of categories. This includes strategic and content-based entries, from ‘Best ongoing commitment to internal communications’ and ‘Best internal communications in a crisis,’ to ‘Best intranet’ and ‘Best innovation.’

"This year we are investing more in the ICE Awards programme by providing organisations with the opportunity to see how their internal communications campaigns or strategy compares with those of their peers from this year. Organisations will be able to enter the pertinent ‘Best of Sector’ category to benchmark their work from within their sector. It is an exciting development and one that I know is most welcome,” says Thomas.

The 2021 awards saw JTI and Ignis, Royal Boskalis Westminster and London North Eastern Railway among its most celebrated winners. All entries are automatically considered for the ‘Grand Prix’ award, which was last year awarded to Crown Worldwide Group with FathomXP and Insight Agents, representing overall excellence in the internal comms and engagement space.

The CIPR Inside sponsor the Internal Communications and Engagement Awards, and the awards ceremony therefore recognises the recipients of the ‘CIPR Inside Communicator of the Year’, ‘CIPR Inside Internal Communications Team of the Year’ and ‘CIPR Inside Business Leader of the Year.’

The Internal Communications and Engagement Awards are accepting entries until 21 January with the awards ceremony scheduled to take place in June 2022.
