In a celebration to benchmark the best work in City communications, other winners included integrated energy company, Centrica, which achieved two Gold awards for its successful work with The Group, while digital IR and corporate comms specialist, Investis, walked away with a number of Gold, Silver and Bronze awards for its work with Anglo American, BP, Experian and Tesco.

The Special Award for Best IR agency or PR consultancy award went to MHP Communications, which formed just two years ago following a merger of three comms businesses. MHP Communications also took home Gold in the Best management of corporate & financial media relations category for work with the food services company Uniq, and Silver for Best M&A/other transactions communications for its work with JD Sports Fashion.

Eversheds LLP was awarded with Gold in the Best in-house corporate and financial comms team category, for its work in establishing itself as an internationally renowned firm, after making the transition from its regional roots.

Andrew Thomas, publisher of Communicate magazine says: “This is the inaugural year of the Corporate and Financial Awards. We felt it important, considering the convergence in communications that has happened in recent years, to rectify the lack of any effective benchmarking of communications to the city and those who influence the city.
