SUSTAINABLE COMMUNICATIONS LONDON EVENT

Sustainability and communications professionals will gather at next month’s Sustainability Communications Forum, held at the Inmarsat Conference Centre in London. The event will offer inspiration and practical guidance for delivering meaningful and effective internal and external communication strategies particularly in relation to sustainability.

Sustainability is increasingly becoming a priority for businesses, furthering the need to effectively communicate environmental, social, and governance issues to business stakeholders.

Dominica Andrews, conference content manager at Faversham House, says, “There is an increasing need for marketing, communications and sustainability professionals to collaborate, particularly within large organisations. The Sustainability Communications Forum was developed to help bridge this gap. Following the successful launch in 2013, attendees can expect first-hand insight into what’s working and what’s not from their peers as well as plenty of time to explore their own challenges in interactive workshops and group discussions.”

The forum is now in its second year and will bring together marketing, communications, and sustainability experts. Speakers include Eileen Donnelly, director of sustainability and communications at PZ Cussons, Sam Fulton, European communications director at McDonald's, Olivia Ross, head of sustainability communications at IKEA, Tom Domen, long term innovation manager for Ecover, and Fran Leedham, head of environment and sustainability for Jaguar Land Rover.

Some of the topics lined up for the 2014 event are; global brands providing locally relevant consumer and stakeholder communications, practical guidance on sustainability and making it mainstream, breaking down barriers through social media, and using disruptive innovation to inspire consumers.

An attendee of last year’s event said, "Useful speakers and topics and a good chance to network with practitioners in the area".
