APPRECIATING THE VISUAL IN BARCELONA
The World Communication Forum in Davos will host a regional session in Barcelona dedicated to visual communications. As a city renowned for its visual appeal, and one of the world’s design capitals, Barcelona is ideally suited to host such an event.
The event will be held on May 23 in Centro de Cultura Contemporanea de Barcelona and will allow design, marketing and PR experts from across the board to gather, share knowledge and gain insight into current trends.
The World Communication Forum website says, “Barcelona regional session aims to show global trends in the local context.” The event will bring together talent from all over Europe.
Among the speakers attending are Alfred Koblinger, CEO PKP BBDO, Maxim Behar, WCFDavos committee co-chair and chairman of Hill+Knowlton Strategies, CEO & board chairman of M3 Communications, and Alberto Tognazzi, professor of Istituto Europeo de Design.
Topics lined up to be discussed at the forum include, ‘the future language: image or text?’, ‘necessary ingredients of future visual communications’, ‘visual storytelling: simplifying complex stories’ and, ‘emotional images of the city’.
The forum will also include an exhibition displaying the latest visual communication formats such as augmented reality, 3D projection, interactive holograms, and trans-media installations.
