EDINBURGH AGENCY WINS COVETED PR AWARD

The Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Excellence Awards judged Edinburgh-based agency, Stripe Communications, winner of the ‘Outstanding public relations consultancy’ category.

The event last night, hosted at Old Billingsgate, was attended by over 800 PR professionals and 150 different consultancies, in-house teams, and freelancers.

A third of the thirty different awards were awarded to PR teams from outside of London, reflecting the influence and strength of the PR industry across the entirety of the UK.

CIPR president, Stephen Waddington, MCIPR says, “The standard of winners and strength of the competition tonight are proof that there has never been such an exciting time to work in public relations, wherever you are in the UK. Our reputation as a profession is built by the kinds of campaigns, teams and professionals receiving these accolades. Congratulations to the winners; they should be proud that their award-winning expertise plays a key role, and delivers business benefit, within every area of a modern organisation.”

Stripe became the first Scottish consultancy to win the major team prize; judges cited, ‘excellent internal culture, mentoring scheme and delivery on its objective to be the industry leader for working parents’, as the agency’s strong points.
