BRITISH DIGITAL AWARDS CELEBRATES ITS 30TH ANNIVERSARY THIS YEAR

The shortlist for the BIMA Awards 2014 has just been announced, it will be the prestigious event’s 30 year anniversary. The BIMAs will continue to celebrate the best of British digital, this year at the B1 Bloomsbury building in Central London.

The awards categories are split under the headings Sectors, Disciplines and Premium Awards. Within the Sector category, Digitas LBi is nominated for two awards, We are Social is nominated for two, Razorfish is nominated for two and Labs.Rebweb is the only nominee for the Blue-Sky sector.

Under the Disciplines umbrella, Razorfish is nominated for another six categories for its ‘All Things Hair’ multi-brand advertising campaign; a project with Unilever that involved creating a new YouTube channel full of hair tutorials starring well-known beauty bloggers and using Unilever products. The Premium Awards section holds the nominees for the ‘Student of the year’ category.

The BIMA 2013 Grand Prix went to OgilvyOne for its The Gnome Experience campaign, and the agency of the year award went to AKQA. Nike and Kinect Training won the innovation Premium Award while WCRS took home the Minor Miracle award for its Blind Eye campaign with Women's Aid; a campaign that used 3D technology to powerfully highlight the issue of domestic abuse.
