CREAM OF THE PR INDUSTRY TO BE REVEALED

When it comes to award ceremonies the public relations industry has its fair share, but the PRCA Awards is one of the juggernauts. The recently revealed shortlist for this year’s awards spans 28 separate categories.

The campaigns shortlisted range from low budget, to high budget, and while one category celebrates corporate and financial PR, another recognises charity and not-for-profit campaigns. Among those shortlisted are Brands2Life, in five categories and Cow in three categories.

Individual professionals are also recognised with categories such as ‘Consultancy head of the year award’, ‘In-house professional of the year award’ and, ‘Young communicator of the year award’.

In 2013 the ‘Large consultancy of the year’ award was won by Ogilvy Public Relations (the agency has also received a nomination this year), ‘Medium consultancy of the year’ was awarded to Eulogy and Hope & Glory PR won the ‘Small consultancy of the year’ award. This year Hope & Glory PR are shortlisted in the medium consultancy category.

Last year the ‘In-house team of the year award: public sector’ was won by Dogs Trust, and the canine theme looks set to continue this year with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home receiving nominations in two separate categories.

The awards will take place on 11 November at London Hilton Park Lane.
