AWARDS FOR DIGITAL PIONEERS

The BIMA Awards are a highlight of the year for those in the digital industry.

The event itself bucks tradition with more of a party vibe and much to see in the way of innovative digital demos, but what really brings people to the event are the awards themselves and the opportunity to meet with others who are at the top of their game.

The shortlist has recently been announced for this year’s awards. There are a lot of familiar faces; R/GA London have been shortlisted seven times in six separate categories, We Are Social have been shortlisted six times and Razorfish four times, but there is also new blood in the Startup of the Year category.

Individuals are nominated for the Student of the Year category, a Premium Award alongside the Grand Prix and Agency of the Year categories. All other categories are organised under Sectors, which includes Automotive, B2B & Professional Services and Consumer Goods, and Disciplines, which includes Content, Data and Immersive.

Bridget Beale, managing director at BIMA, says, "This year we have seen a dramatic increase in submissions into the Immersive category and a surge in innovative tech and agency start-ups entering. Proof of effectiveness was key on judging day, with the high quality of work making for an exciting judging process. I am really looking forward to celebrating with such an exceptionally talented bunch at the BIMA Awards party on 17 September."

The 2015 BIMA Award winners will be announced at the Awards Party on 17 September at One Embankment, London.
