While digital inevitably plays a role in every sophisticated campaign, it is those that are pushing their limitations in the digital sphere, breaking down barriers and driving innovation, who the Digital Impact Awards recognises.

Every year, digital communications pioneers meet and celebrate their work at a ceremony that awards the industry's best work.

This year’s shortlisted companies and projects have been announced and include organisations such as HSBC NOW Share, who is shortlisted in the ‘Best use of mobile and portable devices’ category, British Heart Foundation and IKEA, who are shortlisted for ‘Best use of digital to aid a CR campaign’, Microsoft Mobile, who are shortlisted for ‘Best digital rebrand’ and LinkedIn and The Financial Times, who are shortlisted in the ‘Best digital communication as part of an integrated campaign’ category.

The shortlist also features a multitude of smaller brands and agencies who have delivered equally exciting digital work, often with limited resources or budgets. Categories cover everything from internal communications via apps or intranets, to communicating with investors using tools such as online annual reports and external communications with audiences such as the media and other stakeholders.

The winners of the Digital Impact Awards will be announced at a ceremony on 14 October 2015 at the London Marriot Hotel Grosvenor Square. The event will begin with a celebratory drinks reception, followed by a sit-down dinner and the presentation of the awards. The two most prestigious awards, ‘Digital agency of the year’ and ‘Digital campaign of the year’, will be announced at the end of the ceremony.

One of last year’s winners, James Richards, communications director at IPG Mediabrands UK, said, “We’re over the moon to have won at the Digital Impact Awards. The industry has become ever-more digitally focused, and the competition for business is fiercer than ever. We wholeheartedly support the aim of these awards to improve the standard of work in the industry, and celebrate it.”
