VOTE FOR CIPR PRESIDENCY
Voting has begun for the CIPR’s next president-elect.
The election is being contested by Andy Green, who has a non-exec role at three seperate agencies, and Jason MacKenzie, managing director at Liquid communications consultancy.
CIPR members are invited to vote for a president-elect, who will succeed to presidency after one year and then serve another year as past president. The president will act as chairman of the chartered institute for public relations practitioners.
In his candidate statement, Jason MacKenzie, who sits on the board at the CIPR, promises to serve the CIPR in its mission to professionalise the industry and boost membership. Andy Green’s seven pledges, a salute to the CIPR’s seven decades as of 2018, include finding a better definition for modern PR and encouraging practitioners to become more capable in digital.
Voting closes on 12 October and results will be announced on 16 October.
