YOUNG LIONS AT CANNES

The PR industry will once again be represented at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity by the International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO).

For the third year in a row, the ICCO is partnering with the Young Lions PR competition, which seeks to reward the industry’s most promising talent.

Cannes Lions, which was originally an advertising festival, has expanded to include the PR industry. The Young Lions PR competition sees teams of two compete for the opportunity to win a medal at the PR awards on 21 June, 2016.

The PRCA will choose which team will represent the UK in Cannes this summer. Francis Ingham, director general at the PRCA, says, “We are incredibly proud to once again be launching this search for the most talented young PR professionals in the world. Cannes Lions, ICCO and the PRCA have a shared goal to recognise and reward the creative leaders of tomorrow and this competition continues to demonstrate the rude health of our industry.”

Once in Cannes, the competing national teams will be set a brief by a charity or non-profit organisation acting as the client. For more details around entering the UK competition, visit the PRCA’s website here.
