LEADERS IN CONTENT MARKETING

The inaugural awards by the World Media Group, celebrating content-driven advertising, announced its winners at the Ham Yard Hotel in London last night (16 March, 2016).

The seven categories culminated in the Grand Prix award, which was won by London & Partners, the official promotional company for London, and brand agency, Brooklyn Brothers.

Chris Gottlieb, chief marketing and communications officer at London & Partners, says, “It’s an incredible honour to win both the World Media Awards Grand Prix and the World Media Award for Travel & Tourism, especially given the quality of campaigns that entered from across the world. It was a privilege to showcase what London has to offer through the campaign with a spotlight on over 30 amazing experiences.”

The London & Partners, 'Official Guest of Honour’ campaign worked to strengthen London’s position as one of the world’s greatest cities. London & Partners searched for a Guest of Honour who would experience London through extraordinary moments shared through paid, owned and earned media. The campaign received very high levels of engagement and was the company’s most successful campaign to date delivering an estimated £16m to the London economy.

Other winners on the night included Land Rover and MEC MENA for their ‘My Land’ campaign, EY and E1 Agency, HSBC and Mindshare Worldwide, Connect Ireland, Chivas 25 and Vizeum Global and Deutsche Telekom AG and MediaCom for their ‘Business Wall of Fame’ campaign.

Mary McFarland, World Media Awards judge and regional director at Ogilvy & Mather, says, “These awards are extremely timely as they come at a moment when advertising is changing incredibly quickly and content, at the point where creative and media converge, is becoming the ultimate challenge – especially for international campaigns.”

World Media Group encompasses distinguished media brands such as Forbes, National Geographic, The Economist, Time magazine, Quartz and The Wall Street Journal. For the full list of winners, click here.
