DIGITAL AGENCY LAUNCHES FREE PR PROJECT FOR UK CHARITIES AND STARTUPS
Digital marketing agency 10 Yetis has announced a free PR initiative for UK-based charities and startups, which often work with a limited marketing budget. After selecting one charity and one startup each month, the agency will provide a free press release, including its creation, writing and distribution, and guidance from the PR team.
For Shannon Peerless, managing director of 10 Yetis, the project is about giving something back to the charities and startups. The agency has worked with startups like Just-Eat and charities like WaterAid and the National Trust before and knows that what may seem like a small effort can have far-reaching effects.
"During my 11 years with the agency, we've worked with a number of startups and charities and it has been some of the most rewarding activity we have done. Working with a startup from the very early stages and witnessing their growth helps us to see the impact that great PR and marketing can have and it's always an honour to be a part of that journey,” says Peerless.
Complimentary press releases have proven to be a successful practice in order to gain increased media coverage and help raise brand awareness. Recently, the PR team at 10 Yetis worked on a free press release for Nick Swan who cycled the Deloitte Ride Across Britain to raise money for CLIC Sargent charity. With the help of the press release, Swan raised over £11,000 and generated over 20 pieces of media coverage.
